Ofer was my guide in early January (2023). I scheduled a day trip to the Golan Heights and environs. As this was my first visit to Israel, I really didn’t know what to expect. Ofer was recommended by a temple friend back in Boston. Ofer did not disappoint. He was timely (early), prepared, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable. I was unaware of the extent of his formal graduate education. However, his academic background is evidenced by the manner in which he describes the history, and almost more importantly, describes the context of that history, of the places where he takes his guests. Some specific sights included: the Triangle Border Lookout, Ein Keshatot Synagogue, a stunning overlook of the Kinneret, and Mt. Bental. As mentioned, for a first timer to Israel, I’m lucky to have had Ofer recommended to me. Whether you are a seasoned traveler, or a completely new to Israel, you will enjoy your time with Ofer.
